Question 1

What is AuditCrow?

Accepted Answer

AuditCrow is a website platform that tells you what to do next and proves the work landed. It audits your site, connects the data you already have, turns it into a short ranked plan in plain English, and checks each change actually went live. The free page scan is the taster: one page, no signup, so you can see how it thinks before you commit to anything.

Question 2

Who is AuditCrow for?

Accepted Answer

Anyone responsible for a website doing its job: business owners, marketing managers who report on everything, SEO and paid media specialists, social teams whose posts send traffic to the site, people running several sites, and agencies managing client sites. You do not need to be technical. See who it's for to find the page for your role.

Question 3

Is the free scan the whole product?

Accepted Answer

No. The free scan checks one page. The AuditCrow platform audits your whole site with roughly twice the checks across eleven areas, reads your connected Search Console, Analytics, Business Profile, Clarity and ads data, and keeps watching week after week. It gives you a ranked plan, a task board, and a check that each change went live. See all features for the full list.

Question 4

How do I get the full platform?

Accepted Answer

The platform is in an invite-only beta at the moment. Join the waitlist and we will send your invite. Once you are in, setup takes a few minutes: add your site, pick your goal, and sign in with Google to connect your data.

Question 5

Who is behind AuditCrow?

Accepted Answer

AuditCrow is built in the UK by 4D Services, founded by Ben Foord, who has more than 20 years of experience in digital delivery, SEO, conversion and UX.

Question 6

What does the free scan check?

Accepted Answer

The free scan runs 46 checks across 8 categories on the one page you give it: site structure, page SEO, speed, content, trust and security, accessibility, AI readiness, and enquiry and credibility signals such as contact routes, calls to action and testimonials. It also works out what a visitor is most likely trying to do on the page and whether they can do it.

Question 7

What will my free report show?

Accepted Answer

A plain-English verdict on whether a visitor can do what the page exists for, the steps they would take and where those steps break, and the one fix we trust most from the scan, with a before-and-after and notes you can pass to your developer. It also shows how the other opportunities on the page split. It does not give an overall score: the point is what to do, not a number.

Question 8

Is the free scan really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. No signup and no card. It checks one page and gives you a report straight away.

Question 9

Why only one page?

Accepted Answer

One page is enough to show how AuditCrow thinks and give you a real fix to act on, without burying you in a report. Auditing the whole site, and keeping an eye on it over time, is what the platform does.

Question 10

Can I scan the same site again?

Accepted Answer

A domain's free report stays in place for 90 days, so scanning the same site again in that window shows the same report rather than a fresh one. To re-check a site after you have made changes, use the platform, which re-audits and confirms each fix is live.

Question 11

Why can't I run another scan today?

Accepted Answer

Free scans have daily limits to keep the service fast and free for everyone: a few per device and per connection, a few per website, and an overall daily cap. They reset at midnight. If you hit the limit, the sample report shows what a full report looks like in the meantime.

Question 12

Does the free scan work on any website?

Accepted Answer

It works on any public web page, whatever it is built with: WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or a custom build. It reads the page the way a visitor would, so pages behind a login cannot be scanned.

Question 13

Does the free scan use AI?

Accepted Answer

Partly. The checks themselves are rules-based and the speed results come from Google PageSpeed. AI is used to work out what a visitor is likely trying to do on the page and to look at how the page appears, so the verdict reads like a person looked at it. We only read what is publicly visible.

Question 14

How is this different from Google Lighthouse?

Accepted Answer

Lighthouse measures one page and reports technical scores for developers. AuditCrow uses Google's speed data too, but starts from what the page is for, checks whether a visitor can actually do it, and tells you the one fix to start with in plain English. The platform then covers the whole site and keeps watching it.

Question 15

What does the platform do that the free scan does not?

Accepted Answer

It audits your whole site across eleven areas, from indexing and speed to local search, email records and accessibility. It reads your own data, runs six specialist AI analysts over it, and turns everything into a ranked plan. You add tasks to your plan, assign them, track them on a board, and AuditCrow checks each change is verified live, then watches the numbers it should move.

Question 16

How does AuditCrow decide what to do first?

Accepted Answer

Every task is weighed on impact, how well it fits your goal, how strong the evidence is, how urgent it is and how much effort it takes. You choose a goal: sell more, get more leads, be found, look trustworthy or beat competitors. The goal re-orders the work; it never changes what the checks find. Each task comes with a plain Why now.

Question 17

What does Verified live mean?

Accepted Answer

When you mark a task complete, AuditCrow confirms the change with its own checks or your connected data before it counts as Verified live. Until then a tick is only a claim. Changes to the page itself are confirmed on the next monthly audit. If a verified fix later fails a check, for example after a plugin update or a redesign, it goes back on the board.

Question 18

Can AuditCrow prove a fix increased my sales or rankings?

Accepted Answer

No, and we will not pretend to. After a change goes live, AuditCrow watches the numbers it should affect and reports what happened: improved, flat, declined or not enough data yet. That is correlation, not proof that one task caused the result. Plenty else moves traffic and sales at the same time.

Question 19

Does AuditCrow change my website?

Accepted Answer

No. AuditCrow reads your site and your connected data, tells you what to do and checks it was done. You, your developer or your agency make the change. Each task includes steps and a brief written for whoever does the work.

Question 20

How often does the platform check my site?

Accepted Answer

A full audit runs monthly and a lighter refresh runs weekly on paid plans, with uptime and reachability checked throughout the day. You can also re-run an audit after making changes. Drops and outages arrive as named, dated events, such as mobile speed falling or Search Console disconnecting.

Question 21

Does AuditCrow check how I appear in ChatGPT and AI search?

Accepted Answer

It checks AI readiness: whether AI search tools are allowed to read your site, whether they can tell who you are, whether your content is structured well enough to be quoted, and whether you have llms.txt. It also picks up existing Google AI Overview citations. Tracking how assistants like ChatGPT talk about your brand is coming soon.

Question 22

Can I manage more than one website?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pro covers three sites and one user, each site with its own goal, plan and board. Agency includes three sites and unlimited users, then £149 a month for each extra site, plus a board across every client and a client portal.

Question 23

Can I share reports or export them as PDF?

Accepted Answer

Reports live in the app, built around work delivered, changes verified live, blockers and next steps. On Agency plans, clients see progress through their own portal. PDF export is not available yet; it is coming soon.

Question 24

How much does AuditCrow cost?

Accepted Answer

The free page scan costs nothing. A 30-day trial covers one site. Indicative prices are £99 a month for Starter (one site, one user), £199 for Pro (three sites, one user), and Agency from £399 with extra sites at £149. Those figures are the amount you pay. VAT is not charged. Prices are confirmed before any paid plan starts.

Question 25

What is the difference between the free scan and the trial?

Accepted Answer

The free scan needs no account and checks one page. The 30-day trial is an account on one site: you connect your tools, get a ranked plan and a task board, with limited scans and drafts. Paid plans add the weekly refresh, uptime monitoring and more sites.

Question 26

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Self-serve plans are monthly and you can change or cancel from your account. Upgrades apply straight away. If you move to a plan with fewer sites, the extra sites become read-only rather than deleted, and you choose which stay active.

Question 27

Do your prices include VAT?

Accepted Answer

The price is the full amount you pay. AuditCrow is not VAT registered, so VAT is not added and a VAT invoice is not issued. There is no VAT for a business to reclaim. A business can still deduct the whole subscription as an expense.

Question 28

Do you offer plans for agencies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Agency starts from £399 a month for three sites and unlimited users, with extra sites at £149 a month. It includes an agency board, a client portal, team roles, and white-label set up with us. It is agreed on a short call rather than at a checkout.

Question 29

Which tools can I connect?

Accepted Answer

Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Google Business Profile, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Microsoft Clarity, a WordPress plugin, and CSV or spreadsheet uploads. You can also ask Claude or ChatGPT about your sites through our connector, in beta. Meta Ads, Trustpilot, Shopify and Bing Webmaster Tools are coming soon. See integrations for the details.

Question 30

Do I have to connect Google to use AuditCrow?

Accepted Answer

No. AuditCrow starts from public data the moment you add a site. Connecting Search Console and Analytics sharpens the plan, because it can see what people search for and what they do on the site. Where a missing source limits the picture, the plan says so.

Question 31

Is it safe to connect my accounts?

Accepted Answer

Connections use each platform's official sign-in with read-only permissions, so AuditCrow can read reports but cannot change your site, ads or listings. We never ask for passwords. Access tokens are stored encrypted, and you can disconnect any source at any time.

Question 32

What happens to the data from my free scan?

Accepted Answer

We store the page address and the report so it can be shown back to you, for up to 90 days. We do not store the full content of your page, and we do not sell or share scan data. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email until you ask us to remove it. The privacy policy has the details.

Question 33

Can I scan a website that is not mine?

Accepted Answer

Only with permission, for example a client's site you look after. Our terms ask you to scan pages you own or have permission to scan. The platform goes further: it audits sites you can verify, and connecting data such as Search Console or Analytics needs access to those accounts.

Question 34

What is a website audit?

Accepted Answer

A website audit is a check of how well a site does its job: can people and search engines find it, does it load quickly, can everyone use it, is it secure, and does it lead visitors to act. A good audit ranks what it finds so you know what to fix first. You can read more in what is an SEO audit.

Question 35

What is the difference between a website audit and an SEO audit?

Accepted Answer

An SEO audit focuses on search: indexing, titles, headings, links and content. A website audit includes that plus speed, accessibility, security, conversion and the basics like email records. AuditCrow covers both in one ranked plan. Try the free website audit to see it on one page.

Question 36

How often should I audit my website?

Accepted Answer

At minimum after any redesign, migration, new theme or major plugin change, since that is when things quietly break. Ideally something should watch it continuously: most problems, like an expired certificate or a page accidentally hidden from Google, start between audits. That is what the platform is for.

Question 37

What are Core Web Vitals?

Accepted Answer

Core Web Vitals are Google's measures of how a page feels to use: how quickly the main content appears (LCP), how quickly it responds to taps and clicks (INP), and whether it jumps around while loading (CLS). AuditCrow reports all three from Google's own data and explains what to change. Read why website speed matters for more.

Question 38

Why does website accessibility matter?

Accepted Answer

Accessible sites work for more people, including screen reader and keyboard users and anyone with low vision or a temporary injury, and they tend to be clearer for everyone. AuditCrow checks common barriers like missing image descriptions, unlabelled form fields and Google's automated accessibility test. Automated checks are a strong first pass, not a formal WCAG certification. Read what is website accessibility for more.

Question 39

Do I need a developer to fix what AuditCrow finds?

Accepted Answer

Not always. Plenty of fixes, like compressing an image, rewriting a page title or making a phone number tappable, are jobs an owner or content person can do. Each task says how much effort it takes, and where a developer is needed, it includes notes written for them.

Question 40

Will fixing these issues improve my Google ranking?

Accepted Answer

It can help, but nobody can promise a ranking. Search engines weigh many signals and competitors move too. Fixing what stops Google reading your pages, slow loading and weak titles removes things holding you back. Connect Google Search Console in the platform to see what actually changes.

Question 41

What should I do with my report?

Accepted Answer

Start with the fix at the top, because it is the one we trust most for this page. Do it yourself or send the developer notes to whoever looks after your site. For a step-by-step approach, read how to read a website audit report and what to do after your website audit.
