The orders are real. The report disagrees.
You sell through your own site. Maybe you run the ads, maybe a freelancer or an agency does. Then the return on that spend drops, or Google Analytics says there is no revenue while the orders are clearly coming in. Three different things get tangled: the ads, the website, and the tracking.
Scans are paused for a moment. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you when they're back.
The part that wears you down
The bank and the dashboard do not match
Sales are fine. The analytics screen says revenue is zero, or the traffic looks like it came from everywhere except your customers. The tool feels built for someone else.
It slipped after someone else took over
The campaigns were steady. A new agency or freelancer changed things, and the return fell. You cannot see whether they broke the tracking, the ads, or both.
The fee eats the budget
A small weekly ads budget does not survive a large retainer on top. You want to know the site is ready before another pound goes into ads.
Separate the three problems
When sales and the report disagree, owners often blame the ads first. Sometimes that is right. Often the website never records the sale, so every decision after that is guesswork. Work through them in this order.
- Tracking. Can the site record a sale or an enquiry at all? If a test order does not appear, stop judging the ads until it does. The zero-revenue guide is the checklist, and the cookie banner guide covers the case where the pop-up blocks the count.
- The page. After the click, can someone see the price, trust the shop and check out on a phone? A free scan of the landing page or a product page answers the visible part of that.
- The ads. Only once the first two are honest: what did the spend buy, and did the return fall because the campaigns changed? You will need access to the ad account for the detail. AuditCrow can show the totals once you connect Google Ads. It cannot yet read a Meta (Facebook or Instagram) ads account.
Before you spend the next pound
If the budget is small, spend the next hour on the page and the tracking rather than on a new retainer. A shop that does not record sales will make any agency look like it failed, and will also hide a good one.
- Place a test order, or submit a test enquiry, and see whether it shows up anywhere you trust: your inbox, the shop admin, and Analytics.
- Open the page your ads point at, on a phone. Is the next step obvious, and does the page load without a long wait?
- Ask whoever runs the ads which actions they treat as a sale. A click is not a sale. A page view of the basket is not a sale.
What AuditCrow can show you
The free scan checks one page: speed, whether the next step is obvious, and whether the page gives people a reason to trust it. In the platform you can connect Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, read-only, so those totals sit next to the page. A Shopify connection is not available yet, so AuditCrow cannot read your order list for you.

AuditCrow platform
Your whole site, kept watched
- Google Analytics sessions, key events and conversions, with setup steps when events are missing
- Google Ads spend, clicks, conversions and cost per click, next to the landing page
- A goal such as sell more, which re-orders the task list without changing what the checks found
- LinkedIn Ads results, if you use them. Meta Ads is coming soon
AuditCrow cannot yet compare Analytics revenue with the orders in Shopify or another shop admin. Until a store connection exists, that comparison is a manual check, and the zero-revenue guide walks through it. AuditCrow also does not change bids or rebuild a campaign.
