Technical SEO

Schema markup (structured data)

Code added to a page that describes its content to search engines and AI, helping them understand what it is.

Schema markup (usually written as JSON-LD) labels the things on your page - an article, a product, an FAQ, a local business - in a format search engines and AI systems understand. It doesn't change what visitors see, but it removes ambiguity about what your content means.

Good structured data can unlock rich results in search (star ratings, FAQs, breadcrumbs) and makes your content easier for AI systems to use with confidence. It's one of the higher-leverage technical additions for both SEO and AI visibility.
